FAQs
The Blast comes with a medical grade H13 HEPA filter (99.97%) and a washable pre-filter. Also available is an optional activated carbon filter that can be purchased installed or separately. Please be sure to remove the plastic from the filters before use. For optimal results, vacuum, wipe down or wash, dry and replace the permanent pre-filter periodically.
The Blast needs 6 inches of clearance behind the unit to draw the air in. It is recommended to locate an air purifier in the most used rooms.
Filter changes depend on the amount of air pollution in your area, but typically in the U.S., the Blast filters should be changed every 2-3 years.
The MKII has a more powerful motor than the MKI as well as some cosmetic changes. Every Blast and Blast Mini purifier sold in the US from Smarter HEPA is the MKII version.
Occasionally, the cord will become loose where it plugs into the purifier. Unplug the cord from the unit and the outlet. Plug the cord back in until it clicks, making sure it is flush, then plug back into the wall and turn on. If it still does not work, contact us.
